Players Furious at Sudden Increase in Warzone Cheaters
Despite all efforts by Activision and Ricochet anti-cheat, Warzone gamers continue to face cheaters using various software to gain an unfair advantage.
A recent ban removed 180K cheaters. However, recent anti-cheat innovations can disarm hackers. But it is not stopping them from getting through the net and creating chaos on Fortunes Keep or Caldera.
Season 4 is already nearing its halfway point. Players who have been able to get into the action are starting to notice a sudden increase in hackers targeting legitimate players. They want them to be the last standing.
Players Get Anger at Warzone Cheaters Increase
Ricochet’s kernel driver detects any cheating software that runs alongside Warzone. While it filters out most hackers, some still manage to get into matches.
Reddit user “bwash407” shares a clip showing a hacker using an aimbot to lock onto various targets on the map after being eliminated from a match.
One commenter jokes that Ricochet is “on vacation,” while others point out the rapid increase in Warzone cheaters. Some feel that the battle royale has become “unplayable,” which is far from ideal.
Hackers are not only a problem for casual players. SuperEvan, a Pro Warzone player, asked Twitter if Ricochet had stopped functioning.
