Assassin’s Creed Red’s release date is closer than anticipated
According to the latest rumour, Assassin’s Creed codename Red has been released online – and much sooner than expected.
On 12 October, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released. Basim, Valhalla’s avatar appears in the game. It is set during Baghdad’s ninth century. It’s also the smallest AC Map in years. Codename Jade, a free-to-play Assassin’s Creed nexus and, which will see the return of Ezio Auditore is all in development. There are allegedly eleven Assassin’s Creed titles in development, including a remake of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. This would certainly be exciting. Now let’s go back to codename red.
The Codename Red was revealed in 2022 at Ubisoft Forward. However, it did not appear this year. Ubisoft described the game as “a powerful shinobi fantasia” set in feudal Japan. They also said that this would be their flagship, full-open world instalment. Ubisoft has not confirmed the rumours, but they claim it will feature two main protagonists: A samurai (a warrior) and a Shinobi.
AccessTheAnimus, a fan account that has posted about a possible release date for the game. GameRant has reported that AccessTheAnimus discovered that Ubisoft employee Arisa Lagunzad made a LinkedIn Post about looking for a Japanese collaborator to work on the “biggest blockbuster” of 2024. Since then, the post was edited to remove 2024 as a release date. Oops.
It still says that Ubisoft is looking for a sponsoring partner to help promote the game Assassin’s Creed codename Red next year (via GameRant), and it gives away the same information. Fans have asked Ubisoft to release a game set in feudal Japan for many years. I imagine that this new window of time will be well received.
