Star Wars Ahsoka’s reveal confirms Starkiller’s live-action debut

You know that August is finally here. The limited Star Wars series Ahsoka will finally debut on Disney+ in just a couple of weeks. Excited?

It’s true! The eight-episode series follows Ahsoka as she “investigates an emerging danger to a fragile galaxy”. The series also stars Rosario Dawson in the role of the Jedi and Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who played Sabine Wren. Ray Stevenson, a late actor, plays Baylan Skoll.

Fans have speculated for some time that Ahsoka could feature Galen Marek, AKA Starkiller, from Star Wars The Force Unleashed, as an Inquisitor enemy. Since June, when an unidentified Inquisitor was shown in the series with a mask on his face and a mysterious nameless image appeared online, this theory has been popular among fans.

Dexerto reported that this Inquisitor was now named Marrok. He has been described in an intriguing manner on the Star Wars official website. The character profile reads as follows: “Once a Inquisitor, Marrok hunted Jedis for the Empire. Now he is a mercenary employed by Morgan Elsbeth in order to perform dark deeds.” The warrior is fully clad in battle armor, but still holds a double-bladed red saber.

Sounds familiar? The similarity of the names “Marrok” and “Marek” is more than just a coincidence, according to fans: This is not stopping the Starkiller claims lol,” wrote Twitter user @MaceAhWindu .

“Might just as well come out and call Gaelen Marrok, Killer of Stars, Vader’s favorite Inquisitor,” @THEDevinWolfe1 joked. replied at mad_buckeye, “Ah yeah, Jaylen marrok.”

This speculation may be completely unfounded, but it’s hard to deny the similarities between these names. The 23rd August will be the premiere of Ahsoka.
