Star Wars Jedi: Survivor confirmed sequel by EA boss
EA’s CEO wants to see more Cal Kestis Star Wars Games, which is basically a confirmation that another Star Wars Jedi Game will be released.
It’s natural that, after the huge success of Star Wars Jedi Survivor a new game would be released to complete a trilogy. It’s clear that the game ended with a storyline open to continuation. However, it is unclear where Cal Kestis will be taken next by the galaxy.
EA has clearly expressed an interest to see Cal Kestis in other projects.
Andrew Wilson, EA CEO, spoke during a first-quarter earnings call. He discussed both the ups and the downs of the company, as well as its recent successes with Star Wars.
Wilson stated: “Our team is always looking at what new experiences we can create. I’d love to continue seeing more of the Jedi franchise in time. “It’s a game with an incredible story.”
Then he added: “We may be biased but based on feedback from our community, and the quality and quantity of this product, we feel it is one of the greatest beats of Star Wars Galaxy in 2014 and will continue to play a significant role for years to come.”
The Star Wars Jedi Series will be interesting in comparison to the Star Wars Outlaws which is moving away from the Jedi and The Empire conflict and focusing more on Galaxy’s criminal underworld. Outlaws, developed by Ubisoft, will feature a large and seamless open world that rivals Assassin’s Creed in size.
Jedi Survivor is soon to be available on Xbox One and PS4. These ports are in development, despite being initially skipped to allow the game to take advantage of the current generation hardware.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor can be downloaded on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
