Pokemon Stadium 2 is now available for Nintendo Switch
You may have missed two of the new Pokemon games that are coming to Nintendo Switch Online if you did not tune in today for Pokemon Presents.
During the Pokemon presentation a lot of things were discussed, including a look at Detective Pikachu returns, which will be released later this year. DLC for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet was also announced, as well as updates on side projects such as Pokemon Sleep and Pokemon Unite. One announcement did reveal that a classic legacy game was returning to the Nintendo Switch.
You can now play Pokemon Stadium 2, provided that you have the correct Nintendo Switch Online subscription. The Pokemon Trading Card Game for the original Game Boy will also be added.
The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack is a little more expensive because it includes N64 games, Game Boy Advance games, and a few bonus features for some online Switch titles.
Pokemon Stadium 2, is a 3D version of its predecessor. It features fan favorites like Pokemon Gold, Pokemon Silver, and HTML4_ Pokemon Silver HTML4_.
The game includes minigames, battles against AI and friends, the Gym Leader challenge, and more.
The Nintendo Switch is not compatible with any other games. I am sure that this will be a disappointment to fans.
Nintendo Switch Online has yet to include any classic Pokemon titles, despite including several titles for the Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and Game Boy Color consoles. The games are not compatible with Pokemon Home.
It’s still great that more classic games are being added, and soon the Game Boy RPGs will be joining them.
