Fans agree that Assassin’s Creed Origins’ side quests are among the best of the series
Assassin’s Creed: Origins was released in 2017 and took players to Egypt’s ancient past during the Ptolemaic Period. The game also explored the series’ origins, as its name suggests.
The series has changed since the 2007 release of Assassin’s Creed. Originally, the series was more focused on stealth and parkour. The ‘RPG era’ still has its share of stealth, parkour, and assassination, but the emphasis now is on side quests, open-world shenanigans, and skill tree leveling.
Many Ubisoft critics have claimed that the recent Assassin’s Creed titles are overloaded with filler. I can understand that. Do not get me wrong. I love Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. But the more new quests I see, the more like Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
It was overwhelming, but it didn’t feel that way. It’s probably the reason why I have earned the Platinum Trophy for only one Assassin’s Creed title. Origins is no surprise to me. the best RPG of the “RPG” era.
