PlayStation Plus subscribers get two huge 2023 releases free of charge on the launch day
The month of August will be one filled with gaming activity, especially after PlayStation revealed the games that are free for Plus and Extra subscribers this month.
PlayStation Plus announced that 17 new games would join the service from 15 August 2023. Moving out 2 was included on launch day. PS players will be able to play an entirely new game at a fractional price.
You haven’t lived if you haven’t tried to fit furniture together. The sequel of the 2020 game, Moving Out 2, is the second installment. In both, players are F.A.R.Ts (Furniture Arrangement and Removal Technicians).
While it is exciting to get a game on launch day with PlayStation Plus, you can also add other titles such as Destiny 2: The Witch Queen and Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition to your collection.
Ape Escape: On the Loose and PURSUIT FORCE: EXTREME JUSTICE are also added as PlayStation Classics titles for Premium Members. This batch of free games is a strong apology for the PlayStation Plus Essentials users, considering how badly they were received. This is even more true when you consider that these games total 530 hours of gameplay.
As with any good deal, more is to come. PlayStation Extra subscribers will have access to Lawn Mowing Simulator Landmark Edition as well on the 28th of August. This is followed by a second day-one release with Sea of Stars on 29 August 2023. This turn-based Sabotage Studio RPG is among the most anticipated games of 2023, so its inclusion is huge. It’s a big deal.
Two games are available for free on the first day they’re released!
This won’t make up for the PlayStation App tricking fans to believe that the Baldur’s Gate 3 release date was changed. But it will at least soften the blow. Which RPG will you choose to play first? Baldur’s Gate 3, or Sea of Stars.
As you contemplate this conundrum don’t overlook the fact that two additional freebies will be offered to PlayStation Extra subscribers on 28 and 29 Aug 2023.
