PlayStation delays exclusives for next year

PlayStation 5 fans are in for a treat as the PlayStation 5 is releasing exclusive games in November 2020.

The PS5 has been a great success for fans, with games such as Ratchet & Clank, Returnal, and Demon’s Souls, plus the Horizon Forbidden expansion ‘Burning Shores’, among others.

We also have a lot to look forward to with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Baldur’s Gate III. The latter has now become a PS5 accidental time-exclusive.

PlayStation 5 has a number of exclusives in the pipeline, some of which are yet to be released. It seems that Sony may have quietly delayed these titles.

In the latest Sony Financial Report, the company states that “the impact of changes to the launch dates for a portion of first-party games” had a negative effect on the 2023 fiscal year. As a result of this, some exclusives may be delayed from the mid-2024 period until early 2025.

We can probably throw Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us multiplayer game and its unannounced “single-player experience” into that hat. You could also throw Naughty Dog The Last of Us multi-player and its “unannounced single-player experience” into this hat.

Other PlayStation 5 News: A recent system update beat Xbox with a much-requested graphic feature and console system errors have been melted USB ports.

Baldur’s Gate III is due to be released on PS5 in September, followed by Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on 20 October 2023.
