Xbox accidentally teased with major PlayStation exclusive
Final Fantasy is one of the most successful video game franchises ever. It continues to gain popularity.
In 1997, the original Final Fantasy VII for the OG PlayStation was released. It quickly became one of the most popular video games of all time. the Metacritic score of 92 for Final Fantasy VII is indicative of the love for this original.
Square Enix’s 1997 original Final Fantasy VII has been ported to a variety of platforms, including PCs, Xboxes, Nintendo Switches, and mobile devices. In 2020 we received a stunning remake for PlayStation 4 which was later released on PC and PS5. Final Fantasy VII remake did not fare as well on Metacritic as the original. It received a rating of 87 by critics and a rating of 8.1 from users.
In the past couple of years, there have been endless rumors that Final Fantasy VIII Remake will one day come to Xbox and end its exclusivity. Unfortunately, these rumors have not yet come true, but this hasn’t deterred fans from hoping. As reported by dual shockers, an Xbox Brazil tweet that has since been deleted, had sparked new hope for Final Fantasy VIII remake to be coming soon. This image featured FFVIIdaddy, Barret, and other good guys in celebration of Father’s Day in Brazil.
This now-deleted image may have meant nothing, and Barret’s image might not even be the one that was posted. Final Fantasy XIV has been announced recently for Xbox. This game was previously a PlayStation or PC exclusive. So, it is not impossible that Final Fantasy VII remake will finally arrive on Xbox. It’s a possibility.
The second part of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is scheduled for release in 2024 on PlayStation 5.
