THE PLAYER CREATES THE GREAT FOX IN MINECRAFT
Some ambitious Minecrafters have constructed a large recreation of Team Star Fox’s mothership for a year. The Great Fox in Minecraft has a massive interior and is scaled to 1:3. Berg_ used creative license as we don’t get to see the interior of the Great Fox in the Star Fox game. This is a unique build. It is not common for people to complete year-long build-in games such as Minecraft.
This blocky Great Fox replica was created entirely from scratch in Minecraft. Redstone wiring is used to power the lighting system. You can control the functional cannons from the bridge. Drop bays are where you can find the Blue Marine sub and Landmaster tank. Fans will also notice a few references to the creator in the build, although he doesn’t specifically mention them.
Star Fox games have featured The Great Fox in many of their titles. First, she appeared in Star Fox64. Later, she was remade on the 3DS as Star Fox64 3D. The mothership appeared in Star Fox Adventures and Star Fox Assault. She also appeared in Star Fox Zero, which was a somewhat disappointing Star Fox 64 remake. Personally, Star Fox 64/3D remains my favourite game in this series.
Fox McCloud and Falco Lombardi have all been on numerous missions from the Great Fox, as have Slippy Toad and Peppy Hare. But they have never done it in the blocky Minecraft. It’s very cool to see the Great Fox created within Minecraft. You’ll also be able to see Minecraft’s Caves & Cliffs Part 2 update in a few days.
