Insiders claim that Far Cry 7 will be set in Korea
A supposed insider claims that the next Far Cry could be already in development. Fans are split over the plot and setting of the game.
It’s true that it hasn’t been long since the last Far Cry release – Far Cry 6,, which was released in 2021 and featured none other than Giancarlo,, as Anton Castillo, the antagonist. It’s nice to know that there’s something in the works.
As shared on the r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, one anonymous insider has come forward with what they claim to be a bunch of details about the upcoming seventh Far Cry game, which they say will be called Far Cry: Rise. The anonymous source makes it impossible at this time to verify the validity of the claims.
rise is said to take place on a tropical island named Kimsan located in the Yellow Sea. The insider synopsis claims that the island is now occupied by North Korean rebels led by actor Lee Jung-Jae. The game will allow gamers to take on the role of a Korean idol male or female who has to fight for survival and to protect their younger sibling.
It’s also rumored that in addition to being able to play Rising’s campaign with four players, an extraction open-world mode called Far Cry: Conquest, will launch at the same moment, allowing players to complete narrative missions and fight for survival while dealing with 90 enemies.
Reddit users are not happy with these details. “This is fake or should fake,” Dry_B0nes commented. “Was really hoping they would move away from the tropical island setting if the mechanics and gameplay are going to be identical from game to game at least give us a creative setting, helped 5 feel fresh [in my opinion],” added Equivalent_Network29.
Ubisoft has not confirmed any of these details at this time.
